WatchThatSite integrates with Anthropic's API to access Claude models, offering advanced reasoning and safety features.

Get Your API Key

1. Go to Anthropic's Console
2. Sign in with your Anthropic account (create one if needed)
3. Navigate to the API Keys section
4. Click Create Key
5. Name it (e.g., "WatchThatSite")
6. Click Create Key
7. Copy the key immediately (it won't be visible again)

Set Up Billing

1. In the Anthropic console, go to Billing
2. Add a payment method
3. Optionally set usage limits to control costs

Add to WatchThatSite

1. Go to Settings > AI Providers
2. Click Add Provider Key
3. Select Anthropic from the provider dropdown
4. Paste your API key
5. Optionally select specific models (if omitted, all available models are allowed)
6. Click Save

Recommended Models

Latest Claude models with tool calling:

• Claude 3.5 Sonnet — Latest, best for most tasks (fast + capable)
• Claude 3 Opus — Most powerful, complex reasoning
• Claude 3 Haiku — Fast + compact, cost-effective

Older Claude versions also available via your account.

All Available Models

Your account has access to all Claude models supporting tool calling. See complete list:

1. Go to Settings > AI Providers
2. Click Add Provider Key or Edit an existing one
3. Models dropdown shows all your account's available models
4. Select specific models to restrict, or leave empty for all

Cost Considerations

Anthropic charges by token usage:

• Input tokens: Price per 1M input tokens
• Output tokens: Price per 1M output tokens (typically higher)

Pricing varies by model. Claude 3.5 Sonnet provides excellent speed-to-cost ratio. Check Anthropic's pricing page for current rates.

• Long context: Supports very long prompts (200K tokens on some models)
• Multimodal: Some models support images and vision

Troubleshooting

"Invalid API Key" Error

• Verify the complete key is pasted without extra spaces
• Ensure the key hasn't been revoked
• Check you're using a current, non-expired key

Rate Limits

Anthropic enforces rate limits per account:

• Wait before retrying
• Upgrade to a higher tier for increased limits
• Use batch API for non-urgent processing

No Models Available

• Verify API key has correct permissions
• Check your account has active billing
• Ensure you have access to the models you're requesting

Authentication Failures

• Regenerate the API key in the Anthropic console
• Check your account has no billing issues
• Verify your API key region matches your request
